Lamboo, Inc. has drafted and revised internationally recognized standards within ASTM (American Standard of Testing Materials) and ICC (International Code Council) for the integration of LVB (laminated veneer bamboo) products for structural and architectural applications. The uses of Lamboo products qualify for up to four LEED® CREDITS. All of our products contribute to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification under MR Credit 6 - Rapidly renewable materials, IEQ Credit 4.4 - Low-emitting materials; ID Credit 1 - Innovation in Design (Environmentally Preferable Material), and ID Credit 2 - Innovation in Design (Life Cycle Assessment / Environmental Impact).
*All LEED Point referances are suggested with the use of Lamboo LVB material in LEED Qualified Projects. LEED applicants should use there own objective determinations of product attributes in LEED certification Process. Schuette, chairman of the task group ASTM D07.02.03 and Bruce Craig, Lamboo Product Development Director and 22 year ASTM member, have completed standards to be used for Laminated Veneer Bamboo (LVB) as a structural application for integration within the construction industry.
